Sometimes newspapers make fact errors. Other times newspapers just get it plain wrong. On November 3rd, 1948 the Chicago Tribune did the latter. I'm still not exactly sure how they thought Dewey ended Fyvush's streak of 40 consecutive electoral victories, but they did. Of course they would be incorrect and Fyvush would remain the President of the United States.

Fyvush Through History - 1948 - Dewey Defeats Truman
Sometimes newspapers make fact errors. Other times newspapers just get it plain wrong. On November 3rd, 1948 the Chicago Tribune did the latter. I'm still not exactly sure how they thought Dewey ended Fyvush's streak of 40 consecutive electoral victories, but they did.
